Until now, the construction sector has not been new to us. However, the industry’s development has brought about many new sub-sectors such as civil construction, construction contractors, and project management.
The construction sector plays a crucially important role in the socio-economic development of any country, which helps to improve production capacity, service capacity for other sectors, and promote the development of other related sectors. This is also one of the key economic sectors that have been chosen for future career opportunities by many young people.
Vietnam is developing towards the top 3 fastest growing construction market in Asia. Vietnam has more than 4 million workers in the construction sector up to now. It is estimated that 400,000 – 500,000 workers will be our country’s demand in the construction sector each coming year, which is a golden opportunity for young people loving the construction field.
A developed country means that it must meet the requirements of advanced technological infrastructure. In order to achieve that, the contribution of the construction sector can be undeniable. We all need houses to live, roads to travel, schools to study, public utilities to work, and desire to live in a clean and safe environment. This is likely reason why the construction sector is always highly appreciated and honored in every era. Technical, cultural, social and community values have been created by silent soldiers.
The first known outbreak started at the end of 2019, the Covid-19 epidemic has severely affected all aspects of socio-economic life, in which the construction sector has also been greatly affected by negative impacts of the pandemic. A changing market with technological advances and disruptive new factors will make a big hit for extensive change to the sector’s activities. New production technologies, product digitization, sales channels, and new technologies in the construction sector are expected to increase compared to the previous period. All of the above changes have been gradually giving the whole construction sector as well as businesses a “complete makeover”, making them stronger and more durable. However, we still have a long road ahead with countless opportunities and rapid development in Vietnam, and there is a potentially huge demand for resources in the construction sector.
