The program entitled “Meet Korea 2022” was co-held for two days from May 12-13 in Quy Nhon city by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Republic of Korea to Vietnam and Binh Dinh People’s Committee with a lot of activities expected to promote cooperation and attract investment in the near future.
“Meet Korea 2022” was held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam – Republic of Korea diplomatic relationship and contribution to promoting the development of the strategic partnership between the 2 countries.
Republic of Korea is currently the big investor in Vietnam with accumulated capital to-day reaching USD 74.7 billion and the third largest commercial partner (with bilateral trade of USD 78 billion) concurrently, and Vietnam’s second largest ODA development partner focusing on labor and tourism sectors as well. Vietnam – Republic of Korea has become the most important partners of each other. At the conference, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Korea introduced the municipal and industrial waste treatment to the energy Plant invested by Green (Star Environment Co., Ltd (Vietnam Party) and Chosun Refractories ENG Co., Ltd (Korea Party). The project has been implemented by CRE Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd as EPC General Contractor, which is a typical project representing the Vietnam – Republic of Korea cooperation relationship in the field of environment and renewable energy.
